Trump to Launch America’s 250th Anniversary Celebrations at Iowa State Fairgrounds

Overview

  • President Trump will deliver remarks at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines on July 3 at 7:30 p.m. Central Time to inaugurate the yearlong commemoration
  • Attendees must register on the America250 website to reserve up to two free tickets per phone number
  • Preprogramming activities are set to begin at 5:00 p.m. Central Time before the president’s address
  • America250, the nonpartisan organizer, also coordinated the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C., in May
  • The Iowa event kicks off a series of state and federal celebrations leading to July 4, 2026, including a traveling tech expo, a Philadelphia time capsule burial and a Smithsonian festival on the National Mall
