- President Trump signed the proclamation on June 5, blocking all entry for citizens of 12 countries as of 12:01 a.m. ET.
- Nationals from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela will face stricter visa requirements and reduced validity.
- The ban exempts lawful permanent residents and holders of existing valid visas from the new restrictions.
