Trump Faces Charging Decision in Georgia Election Probe This Summer

The prosecutor investigating whether Trump and his allies illegally interfered in the 2020 Georgia election expects to announce charging decisions in the case this summer.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis warned that the announcement may provoke violence and urged heightened security.
The investigation includes false claims of election fraud, threats against election workers, and an alternate slate of Republican electors who falsely claimed Trump won Georgia.
At least 18 people are targets of the investigation, including Trump's former lawyer Rudy Giuliani and 16 alternate electors.
Trump's legal team sought to quash the investigation, but Willis plans to announce her decision during the July to September court term.
