Ingrassia was previously pushed out of his role at the Department of Justice after clashing with leadership over hiring practices that prioritized loyalty to Trump.
Since his new appointment, Ingrassia has been involved in controversial actions, including attending the release of January 6th convicts and working closely with senior administration officials.
