Overview

  • Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he never applied to Harvard and reiterated his graduation from Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania
  • The denial directly contradicts author Michael Wolff’s claim that Trump’s feud with Harvard stems from a personal grudge over a rejected application
  • Trump labeled Wolff a “third rate reporter” and criticized his latest book as a “total fake job” with poor sales
  • Harvard secured a temporary restraining order after the administration froze $2.2 billion in federal funding and withdrew its SEVP certification on May 29
  • The White House has also proposed capping Harvard’s foreign student enrollment at 15 percent and tightening visa vetting for its applicants
