Trump Campaign Linked to 'Fake Electors' Scheme, Emails Reveal

Internal campaign emails reportedly link the Trump campaign to the 'fake electors' scheme that occurred during the 2020 presidential election.
The emails suggest that Trump's campaign staff coordinated the gathering of Republicans at state party headquarters and prepared the official mailing of the false certificate to Vice President Mike Pence and the National Archives.
The emails also indicate that when local Republicans were uncertain about whether their forged materials would reach Capitol Hill in time, it was Trump campaign employees who helped develop and execute a plan to fly the certificates there themselves.
Former Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro, who has pleaded guilty in the Georgia election interference case, is cooperating with the probe in Michigan.
Investigations into the 'fake electors' scheme are ongoing in several states, with charges already filed against many of the fake electors.
