Private donors have secured $200 million in funding; federal agencies have completed planning ahead of a September groundbreaking.

Overview

  • The addition will span 90,000 square feet and seat 650 guests on the site of the existing East Wing.
  • President Trump and private donors are fully financing the $200 million project without congressional appropriations.
  • McCrery Architects will lead design, Clark Construction will manage construction and AECOM will oversee engineering.
  • East Wing offices will be modernized and temporarily relocated during the build to accommodate expansion.
