A record-low 21% of Americans strongly approve of President Donald Trump’s job performance, according to the latest CNN/SSRS poll.

Overview

  • The Economist/YouGov poll conducted July 11–14 shows 55 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s performance while just 41 percent approve.
  • His net approval rating has declined to minus 17 percent, down from minus 11 in the previous YouGov poll.
  • Approval among Democrats has fallen to 3 percent and among independents to 29 percent, while 92 percent of Republicans continue to back him.
  • A recent Department of Justice and FBI memo reported there is no ‘client list’ in the Epstein files and no further charges will be filed, underscoring the White House’s failure to provide promised documents.
  • Surveys indicate young voters, minority groups and non-MAGA Republicans have shown the sharpest declines, raising concerns about Republican prospects in the 2026 midterm elections.
