Trump and Abbott Meet at White House to Strengthen Border Security Efforts

The meeting follows Abbott's recent move granting Texas National Guard soldiers authority to arrest undocumented immigrants in coordination with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Trump praised Abbott's leadership during his inauguration and pledged federal support for building additional border walls and deploying military resources.
In addition to border discussions, Abbott is scheduled to join Trump for the signing of an executive order banning transgender athletes from competing in women's sports.
