Overview

  • Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced a formal review of all past National Climate Assessments with plans to reissue annotated editions.
  • A Department of Energy spokesperson clarified that NOAA is responsible for publishing the reports and that Wright will not personally alter their scientific findings.
  • Earlier this year the White House removed archived assessment files from federal websites and dismissed the scientists working on the next required report.
