Overview

• The crash occurred at about 6:40pm on the westbound N7 at Rathcoole and involved a truck and two cars.
• The male truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene, with a post-mortem arranged at Whitehall mortuary.
• Five other people were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries described as non-life threatening.
• The westbound carriageway was closed for a forensic examination and has since reopened to traffic.
