Overview
- Wutip will make landfall on Hainan Island on June 13 as it tracks northwest at 10–15 km/h, then is expected to strike the Guangdong–Guangxi coast on June 14.
- Meteorologists forecast the storm will strengthen into a severe tropical storm with winds of 25–30 m/s (90–108 km/h) as it nears the coast.
