Overview
- The FAA imposed ground stops at more than a dozen airports from Florida to New York, halting flights at LaGuardia until at least 6:15 p.m. and Newark until 7 p.m.
- FlightAware data show 8,831 delays and 1,600 cancellations as of 7:30 p.m. EDT, with JFK flights suffering an average delay of three hours and 15 minutes.
