Tropical Storm Ileana Forms Off Mexican Coast, Heads Toward Baja California

Tropical Storm Ileana formed on Thursday in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Jalisco, Mexico.
The storm is currently located about 240 miles south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas.
A tropical storm warning is in effect for parts of the Baja California peninsula, including Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
Maximum sustained winds are at 40 mph, with the storm expected to strengthen over the next day.
Forecasters predict 4 to 8 inches of rain for coastal areas of Michoacan, Colima, and Jalisco, with potential impacts on Baja California Sur by Friday.
