- The depression Dos‑E strengthened into Tropical Storm Boris on Monday, June 8, and by morning its center sat near Punta Maldonado with sustained winds around 65 km/h and stronger gusts as it moved slowly northeast.
- Mexico’s SMN and Conagua forecast torrential rains of 150–250 mm for southern Guerrero and western Oaxaca with very heavy to intense rainfall expected across Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán and parts of central Mexico.
- Authorities have issued a coastal zone of prevention from Lagunas de Chacahua, Oaxaca, to Técpan de Galeana, Guerrero, and warn of storm‑force gusts up to about 90–110 km/h and 4–5 meter waves that will endanger navigation and coastal communities.
- In Argentina the SMN issued yellow alerts for the AMBA, Formosa, southern Entre Ríos and southern Santa Fe with more than 50 Buenos Aires localities warned of persistent rain and expected accumulations of about 30–60 mm and strong gusts.
