Tropical Kinkajou Rescued from Washington Highway Rest Stop

The young rainforest mammal, far from its native habitat, is now under quarantine at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

The kinkajou was found at a Selah Creek Rest Area on Interstate 82 in Yakima, Washington.
Washington State Fish and Wildlife Police rescued the animal and transported it to Point Defiance Zoo.
