• The first full trailer debuted July 17, unveiling Jared Leto’s character Ares arriving from the Grid in what Disney describes as humanity’s first encounter with an AI being.
• Nine Inch Nails released “As Alive As You Need Me to Be,” the lead single from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’s industrial-style soundtrack for the film.
• Jeff Bridges returns as Kevin Flynn despite the character’s fate in Tron: Legacy, joined by Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan and Gillian Anderson.
• Directed by Joachim Rønning, Tron: Ares employs motion-controlled camera work and neon-soaked visuals to build on the franchise’s legacy of groundbreaking effects.
