- Prototype units have started reaching dealerships nationwide ahead of the official August 6 launch.
- The Thruxton 400 retains the Speed 400’s 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine tuned to deliver roughly 40hp and 37.5Nm of torque.
- Its chassis, suspension and braking system mirror the Speed 400, while minor gearing tweaks may sharpen its café racer character.
- Design upgrades include a half fairing, clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors and a split seat with a detachable rear cowl.
- Three two-tone color schemes and an expected ex-showroom price of about Rs. 2.75 lakh position it as India’s first semi-faired café racer in the 400cc segment.
