Overview
- Triumph has officially launched the café racer–styled Thruxton 400 in India at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with deliveries now underway in major metros.
- Its 398 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine gains a new camshaft to deliver 41.5 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm, two horses more than the Speed 400.
- Period-inspired design upgrades include a semi-fairing, teardrop fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, removable rear cowl and redesigned tail-light assembly alongside LED lighting, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control and a slip-assist clutch.
- Priced below the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650’s ₹3.25–3.26 lakh tag, the Thruxton 400 achieves a superior power-to-weight ratio thanks to a 22 mm shorter wheelbase and a 31 kg weight reduction.
- Triumph has also increased the Speed 400’s ex-showroom price to ₹2.50 lakh for 2025 without any mechanical or styling changes.
