Tri‑Service Future Warfare Course Launches at Manekshaw Centre

Overview

• The course is a four-week programme run under Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.
• Participants include officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force together with representatives from government bodies, academia, industry and strategic think-tanks.
• Chief of Defence Staff Gen N S Raja Subramani delivered the keynote at the inaugural session stressing the need to anticipate future security challenges and deepen jointness across domains.
• The curriculum covers geopolitical trends, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, cyber and cognitive warfare, information warfare, autonomous systems, grey-zone tactics, space and multi-domain operations.
• Organisers say the programme aims to translate emerging-technology insights into doctrine, policy guidance and interoperable concepts that could shape procurement, planning and joint operations.
