  • Police registered 15 cases under the NDPS Act and arrested 16 suspects as part of the statewide crackdown coordinated with intelligence units.
  • A joint team seized about 90,000 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup from a goods train at Jirania in West Tripura, a haul valued at around Rs 4.5 crore that arrived from Delhi.
  • Assam Rifles and Customs previously intercepted two cement-laden trucks on October 6 and seized 69.61 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth about Rs 70 crore, following a September 29 bust of 60.77 kg worth roughly Rs 60 crore.
