Tripura Implements GPS-Based Vehicle Tracking and Expands Emergency Fleet

A state-run control center will process GPS data with panic alerts to speed up medical aid.

  • Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the Vehicle Location and Tracking System in Agartala on July 2.
  • VLTS units equipped with GPS and panic buttons will be fitted in buses and taxis to feed real-time location data and distress signals to a transport department control room.
