Overview
- Chief Minister Manik Saha said more than 40% of Tripura’s 2025–26 outlay is set aside for tribal area development, with the state budget reported at about Rs 32,000 crore.
- At a Dhalai district event, the state provided 895 toolkits and 200 driving licences to Bru residents, a package valued at Rs 1.45 crore.
- Saha stated that 35,000 candidates are training under the Tripura Skill and Entrepreneurship Policy 2024 with focus areas including renewable energy, IT services, artificial intelligence and healthcare.
- Under PM JANMAN, 11 departments have been linked and Rs 322.6 crore was spent in 2024–25, alongside plans for three 100-bed ST hostels, seven 50-bed hostels and a ‘Super 100’ scheme for civil-service preparation.
- Saha noted that five skilled youths have been sent to Japan with four more planned, presented as part of employment pathways for resettled Bru families under the 2020 agreement.
