Overview

• A force mix of 6,500 Tripura State Rifles jawans and about 400 additional women officers augments regular police across the state.
• Police will install roughly 320 new CCTV cameras and operate 241 assistance booths at high-footfall locations for crowd management.
• Joint patrols with the BSF are planned at selected India–Bangladesh border points in line with directives to prevent illegal immigration.
• Sniffer dogs, bomb-disposal units, watch towers and 215 hired vehicles support mobile patrols, traffic diversions and no-entry zones from 5 pm to 1 am on puja days.
• Nearly 3,000 community pujas are scheduled statewide with idol immersions to be completed by October 4, as the chief minister affirms that law and order remains under control.
