Overview
- Ryan Wilkinson, 25, Cyle Jenkins, 23, and Adrian Askin, 28, were sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on November 21 to 10 years for Askin and nine years four months each for Wilkinson and Jenkins.
- The men pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated burglary, one burglary, and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle after targeting high‑value Audi and Volkswagen models.
- In Camblesforth, they posed as police, assaulted a woman in front of her elderly mother, and demanded her Audi RS3 immobiliser code, which she refused to give, preventing the theft.
- Further raids in Gilberdyke and Carlton included threats with a crowbar and a firearm later identified as the victim’s air rifle; stolen cars on false plates were tracked toward Doncaster, where officers found two suspects hiding under a hot tub lid and a third in a trailer.
- Footwear impressions matched to the suspects’ trainers and CCTV of Wilkinson walking with a leg brace helped secure convictions as victims told the court the attacks left them with nightmares, anxiety and lasting fear.
