Trial Begins for Michelle Troconis in Jennifer Dulos Murder Case

Troconis, former girlfriend of Fotis Dulos, faces charges including conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with evidence in the 2019 disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.

  • Michelle Troconis, the former girlfriend of Fotis Dulos, is on trial for charges including conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the 2019 disappearance and presumed murder of Jennifer Dulos, Fotis Dulos' estranged wife.
  • Jennifer Dulos, a mother of five, disappeared from her New Canaan home in May 2019 amidst a contentious divorce and custody battle with Fotis Dulos. Her body has never been found, but she was declared dead before trial.
  • Fotis Dulos, who was also charged with Jennifer's murder, died by suicide in January 2020 before he could face trial.
  • Police believe Fotis Dulos attacked Jennifer in her garage, tried to clean up the bloody scene, and then drove off with her body in her own SUV. Surveillance footage shows Fotis and Troconis driving around Hartford later in the day of the attack, with Fotis disposing of garbage bags that were later found to contain items with Jennifer Dulos' DNA.
  • Troconis has maintained her innocence, stating that she did not know what was in the bags and thought they were from a home Fotis Dulos was trying to sell. She also said she helped Fotis Dulos prepare a detailed list of their activities on the day of the killing and the day after, a document investigators dubbed 'the alibi script.'
