Treyarch Rolls Out Black Ops 7 Beta Fixes as Cheaters Surface Before Full Anti‑Cheat Launch

Full Ricochet protections launch on November 14.

Overview

  • Early access began October 2 with an open beta set for October 5 across PlayStation, Xbox and PC, with entry via digital preorders, retail codes or select Xbox Game Pass tiers.
  • Treyarch says weekend updates will tune time‑to‑kill, adjust automatic doors, speed up weapon XP and overclocks, and address weapon bugs and stability issues.
  • Clips showing aimbots and wallhacks appeared within hours of the beta going live, and Treyarch confirmed bans for some accounts as broader Ricochet upgrades are held for release.
  • PC players must enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to participate, measures the studio says help create a more secure environment during testing.
  • Some players hit a launch error stating “You don’t have access to the content,” with community workarounds including joining a friend’s lobby or restarting the client as developers investigate.
