Trevor Bauer to Pitch Against Yankees in Mexico Amid MLB Comeback Effort

The former Cy Young Award winner seeks to return to Major League Baseball after a record suspension, starting with an exhibition game in Mexico City.

Trevor Bauer, former Cy Young Award winner, will pitch against the New York Yankees in an exhibition game with the Mexican League team Diablos Rojos on March 24, 2024.
After being unsigned by any MLB team following his suspension, Bauer seeks to showcase his skills in Mexico as part of his effort to return to Major League Baseball.
Bauer has also agreed to pitch in five additional games for the Diablos between April 11 and May 8, 2024, as a form of spring training.
His last MLB appearance was in 2021, after which he faced a record-long suspension due to allegations of sexual assault.
Despite legal and professional challenges, Bauer maintains he is ready to join an MLB rotation, expressing willingness to play for the league minimum salary.
