Trespassing Suspect Fatally Shot by Indianapolis Officer After Seizing Gun in Burger King Confrontation

  • The officer was able to use his secondary service weapon to fatally shoot Davis. Davis was taken to a hospital where he died from his gunshot wounds.
  • The incident occurred on the far east side of Indianapolis just before 6 p.m. The officer and his partner were initially confronting Davis over trespassing allegations.
  • The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's Critical Incident Response Team and Internal Affairs are now conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting.
