Trent Bray Promoted to Head Coach at Oregon State

Former defensive coordinator steps up following departure of Jonathan Smith to Michigan State.

Trent Bray, the current defensive coordinator for Oregon State, has been promoted to head coach.
Bray is replacing former head coach Jonathan Smith, who recently left Oregon State for a position at Michigan State.
Under Bray's leadership as defensive coordinator, Oregon State has had one of the best defenses in the conference.
Bray is an Oregon State alum, having played as a linebacker for the team from 2002-2005.
Oregon State will be one of only two teams playing in the Pac-12 in 2024, after 10 of the conference's programs agreed to join other Power 5 conferences.
