Overview
- Trenes Argentinos will suspend the José León Suárez and Bartolomé Mitre branches from Saturday Aug 30 through Monday Sep 1 for infrastructure works.
- Tasks include renewal of the railway bridge over Av. Figueroa Alcorta between Retiro and 3 de Febrero and the expansion of the Fomentista underpass between Pueyrredón and Miguelete.
- The Tigre branch will run with its usual frequencies during the three days.
- Long-distance departures from Retiro to Rosario, Córdoba and Tucumán will not operate on those dates.
- Authorities cautioned that bad weather could postpone the works, with wider AMBA operations still on adjusted schedules such as Roca limits through Aug 31 and the Hipólito Yrigoyen station closure.
