Trenes Argentinos Confirms Nine-Day Tigre Branch Closure for Track Renewal

Mitre and Suárez branches will terminate at Belgrano R from August 9 to 18, with Roca Line routes on reduced schedules through late July and August

Overview

  • Trenes Argentinos confirmed that the Mitre Line’s Tigre branch will be fully suspended from August 9 to 18 for comprehensive track renewal.
  • During the shutdown, Mitre and José León Suárez services will end at Belgrano R instead of reaching Retiro.
  • First and last Mitre Line trains on July 25 are operating under a modified schedule to allow preparatory track works.
  • Tren Roca’s Bosques via Quilmes branch will run between Plaza Constitución and Berazategui until August 31, and La Plata services are limited to Plaza Constitución–Villa Elisa on July 26 and 27.
  • Track renewal works originally slated for the July school holidays were postponed to August nights to maintain service during peak travel periods.
