Travis Scott, SZA, and Future Face Copyright Lawsuit Over 'Telekinesis'

Roc Nation artist Victory Boyd accuses the trio of copying her 2019 song and seeks damages, credits, and destruction of the infringing work.

Victory Boyd, a Roc Nation singer-songwriter, alleges that 'Telekinesis' copies lyrics and melodies from her unreleased 2019 track 'Like the Way It Sounds.'
The lawsuit claims Boyd initially shared her song with Kanye West, who later introduced it to Travis Scott, leading to its use in the 2023 album 'Utopia.'
Boyd asserts she was credited as a co-writer in the song's metadata but was unaware her work had been commercially released without her permission.
Additional defendants include record labels, songwriters, and luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet, which allegedly used the song in an ad campaign without authorization.
Boyd is seeking financial compensation, a full accounting of profits, and the destruction of all copies of the song derived from her original work.
