Travis Kelce Surpasses Tony Gonzalez's Chiefs Record for Most Career Receiving Yards

Kelce broke the record in a 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins, totaling 10,941 career receiving yards and looking forward to possibly becoming the fourth tight end in NFL history to reach 11,000 receiving yards.

  • After catching just three passes for 14 yards in a match against the Miami Dolphins, Travis Kelce surpassed Tony Gonzalez to become the Kansas City Chiefs' all-time leader in receiving yards with 10,941 yards.
  • With 59 more receiving yards, Kelce could become the fourth tight end in NFL history to record 11,000 career receiving yards.
  • If Kelce reaches 11,000 receiving yards within the next 29 games, he would become the fastest tight end to achieve this milestone, a record currently held by Gonzalez who reached it in 191 games.
  • Kelce also holds the potential to tie or surpass Gonzalez's franchise records of 76 receiving touchdowns and 916 receptions; he currently has 73 receiving touchdowns and 871 receptions.
  • Despite the record-breaking performance, head coach Andy Reid expressed regret post-game, stating that he didn't get Kelce the ball enough.
