Travel Influencer Maria Eftimova Dies in 65-Foot Fall on Welsh Mountain

The 28-year-old engineering student and avid adventurer fell while climbing Tryfan, one of the UK's most dangerous peaks.

Maria Eftimova, a 28-year-old travel influencer and engineering student, died after falling 65 feet while climbing Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia, Wales, on February 22.
Eftimova, originally from Bulgaria, was an experienced mountaineer and had recently completed an ice-climbing course in Norway.
She was climbing with friends when her heel reportedly slipped as she attempted to reach a ledge, resulting in fatal head injuries, including a fractured skull.
Tryfan, standing at 3,010 feet, is known as one of the deadliest mountains in the UK, with another fatality occurring in the same area just six days earlier.
Friends and family have launched a fundraiser to cover funeral costs and repatriate her body, with surplus donations pledged to support the local mountain rescue organization.
