• On June 26, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a draft notification to create a separate registration plate category for hydrogen fuel–operated vehicles.
• Commercial hydrogen vehicles would carry green-over-blue plates with yellow figures under the proposal.
• Private hydrogen cars are set to use the same green-over-blue background but with white figure colors.
• Rented hydrogen cabs would feature a black-over-blue plate design paired with yellow figures.
