• Secretary Josh Murray briefed the NSW Public Service Association and Combined Rail Unions on the decision to eliminate roughly 950 white-collar positions.
• The cuts will target both award-grade staff and senior managers in back-office teams such as administration, technology and communications.
• They follow a June directive to reduce 300 senior executive roles, more than 200 of which have already been removed.
• Frontline service roles will be protected to ensure uninterrupted delivery of transport across New South Wales.
