TransBnk Raises $25 Million in Bessemer-Led Series B to Expand API Banking Platform

The startup targets a corporate banking stack that still trails consumer fintech in India.

Overview

  • TransBnk closed a $25 million Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Fundamentum, Arkam Ventures, 8i Ventures, Accion Venture Labs, and GMO Venture Partners, including $4 million in secondary.
  • The company plans expansion into Southeast Asia and the Middle East and intends to strengthen its India footprint, with hiring for technology and product cited as priorities.
  • TransBnk offers a single-window API platform that lets corporates, fintechs, and lenders connect to multiple banks to handle onboarding, payments, and reconciliations.
  • The company says it works with about 60 banks, with 40 fully integrated, serves roughly 220 customers, and processes about 110 million transactions monthly using more than 1,500 APIs.
  • TransBnk reports revenue of roughly $12 million in ARR with post-tax profitability since February and positions itself against Indian API-banking rivals as the RBI promotes responsible AI through its new FREE-AI framework.
