Transamerica Pyramid Reopens with Spectacular Light Show After $400M Renovation

The grand reopening featured a laser-light display, live music, and new public art installations in Transamerica Redwood Park.

The Transamerica Pyramid's east facade was illuminated by a high-powered, multicolor laser show to celebrate its grand reopening.
The event included a live performance by the San Francisco-based electronic music duo Thievery Corporation.
Transamerica Redwood Park, located at the base of the Pyramid, now features over 25 sculptures by Les Lalanne and promises to be a hub for arts and culture.
The $400 million renovation, led by luxury real estate firm SHVO, also extends to adjacent buildings at 505 and 545 Sansome streets.
The renovation aims to revitalize San Francisco’s downtown area, which has been struggling with high office vacancy rates.
