Overview
- A Redward Aviation trainer struck a 33 kV overhead line while landing near fields in Amagon at about 6:25 pm local time.
- The impact snapped the line, and the aircraft crashed roughly 2 kilometres from the Suktara airstrip on the Seoni–Nagpur National Highway 44.
- Pilot Ajit Chavda and another occupant were rescued by power-utility staff, villagers and police, and were taken to a private hospital in Barapathar where both were reported out of danger.
- Officials said the power line tripped, disrupting local electricity supply and limiting the risk of a more serious electrical incident.
- Eyewitnesses reported the underside of the aircraft struck lines feeding from the Badalpar substation as it descended to land.
