  • High river levels and debris-filled currents forced a pause in recovery efforts overnight before operations resumed at dawn.
  • Swift water rescue teams have joined the Neosho County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, the Kansas Highway Patrol and Union Pacific personnel in the search.
  • Sheriff Greg Taylor has urged the public to avoid the area to ensure trained teams can work safely under treacherous conditions.
