- A morning commuter service struck a fallen tree near Kingham on Friday, blocking all lines on the Oxford–Worcester Shrub Hill route during the rush hour.
- Great Western Railway and Network Rail cleared the obstruction and reopened the line by about 08:00 after assessing and making the track safe.
- Services were delayed by up to 30 minutes and some journeys were revised; passengers were allowed to use earlier or later trains without extra charge.
- GWR confirmed no injuries have been reported, apologized for the disruption, and said onboard crew and station staff were involved in the response.
