Train-Bus Collision in Guanajuato Leaves 5 Dead as Separate Metrobús Crash in Mexico City Injures 12

Authorities are investigating the Comonfort crash with CPKC cooperating and have asked residents to help identify the deceased.

  • In Mexico City’s Narvarte neighborhood near the Xola underpass, Metrobús units 3308 and 373 collided on Line 2, injuring 12 people; none were reported in serious condition and a mother with her one‑year‑old was transferred for evaluation.
  • Metrobús’ preliminary report cites heavy rain and congestion before the rear‑end collision, and service on Line 2 was temporarily halted as emergency crews, the operator and the insurer worked at the scene.
