Trailheads Reopen as Search Ends After Suspected Mountain Lion Fatality Near Estes Park

Investigators await lab results on two euthanized lions to confirm any link, with the coroner yet to release the victim’s identity.

Overview

  • Officials said the Jan. 1 victim had injuries consistent with a mountain lion attack after hikers reported seeing a cat near her body.
