Trailer Released for Andrew Ahn's Queer Rom-Com 'The Wedding Banquet'

The film, a reimagining of Ang Lee's 1993 classic, features Bowen Yang, Lily Gladstone, and Kelly Marie Tran, and is set for an April 18 theatrical release.

'The Wedding Banquet' is a remake of Ang Lee's 1993 LGBTQ rom-com, directed and co-written by Andrew Ahn alongside original screenwriter James Schamus.
The story follows four friends navigating personal challenges, including a sham marriage between Min (Han Gi-Chan) and Angela (Kelly Marie Tran) to secure a green card and fund IVF treatments.
Bowen Yang, Lily Gladstone, Joan Chen, and Oscar-winner Yuh-Jung Youn round out the ensemble cast, with Gladstone's character reflecting Indigenous representation in Seattle.
The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, earning positive reviews for its performances and Ahn's storytelling.
Distributed by Bleecker Street, 'The Wedding Banquet' will debut in theaters on April 18, with its trailer now available online.
