Overview
- Nine telecom operators and 11 banks, including SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and PNB, have integrated systems for the Digital Consent Acquisition test.
- Banks have begun uploading sample sets of old consents to the shared platform, with new consents to be added during the pilot.
- A small, randomly chosen subset of customers will soon get SMS alerts from 127000 directing them to their operator’s authorised Consent Management Page.
- Users can view consents recorded against their number and choose to continue, modify or revoke them, with no personal or financial data requested.
- The exercise validates platform readiness before any nationwide rollout, and customers who receive no message need not be concerned.
