A seven-year-old boy and a man in his 30s were killed in a suspected gas explosion in Newcastle, as investigations continue.

The victims have been identified as seven-year-old Archie York and Jason Laws, a man in his 30s.
The explosion occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in the Benwell area, severely damaging six flats.
Six people, including five adults and one child, were hospitalized; all but one have been discharged.
Emergency services, including specialist search teams, continue to investigate the cause of the explosion.
A community fundraiser has been launched to support affected families, raising over £17,000 so far.
