Emergency services responded to a fire at Bayside Court in Thorneside around 7:15 am, which damaged multiple townhouses.
The fire was brought under control after approximately 45 minutes, but not before the roof of one townhouse collapsed.
Authorities have established a crime scene, although the cause of the fire is not currently considered suspicious.
A man was treated for smoke inhalation, while the search continues for a missing woman believed to be in her 30s.
