Tragic Collision in Mirzapur Claims 10 Lives, Injures 3

A speeding truck struck a tractor trolley carrying laborers on the Prayagraj-Varanasi Highway, prompting condolences and relief efforts.

The accident occurred around 1 AM on GT Road near Katka village in Mirzapur district, Uttar Pradesh.
The victims were laborers returning to Varanasi after work in Bhadohi, with the deceased identified as residents of Ramsinghpur/Birbalpur village.
Prime Minister and state officials have announced relief funds of ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured.
The injured are receiving treatment at Banaras Hindu University hospital, with their condition reported as stable.
A case has been registered, and authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
