Overview
- Delhi Traffic Police announced restrictions from 3 pm to 12 am across the CR Park area due to heavy Durga Puja footfall and the prime minister’s movement.
- Congestion is expected on Outer Ring Road (Panchsheel–Greater Kailash), Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, J. B. Tito Marg, Inder Mohan Bhardwaj Marg and CR Park Main Road, with diversions under the Panchsheel, IIT and Nehru Place flyovers.
- Vehicular movement is barred on Gurudwara Road, Bipin Chandra Pal Marg and internal roads of CR Park and Greater Kailash-II during the restriction window.
- Diversions apply to light and heavy goods vehicles, including those with valid no-entry permits, with suggested alternatives via MG Road, Aurobindo Marg, Mathura Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Road and Mehrauli–Badarpur Road.
- Security preparations included an SPG assessment, removal of parked vehicles and temporary relocation of some hawkers, while local resident bodies urged limited movement; some outlets frame the visit as outreach to Bengalis ahead of West Bengal’s 2026 election.
